Zip, nada, none. No hikers. Vehicular traffic picked up a bit in the
afternoon after the clouds lifted but only two even ventured into the
parking lot.
Weather:
Blustery but mild. The wind was easterly at first, switched around to the
south and then westerly between 2:15 and 2:45. Around 2:30 all the leaves
that had accumulated on the parking lot disappeared in ten minutes as did
the haze and clouds. Temp was not affected that much. Neat experience!
Raptor Observations:
There were some sightings of TV on east side until the wind shift, and
they shifted to the west side also. A few BV and some fly-by Ravens and
one local RT.
Non-raptor Observations:
Junco, Carolina Wren, Pileated WP, Downy WP, Goldfinch, Fox Sparrow (my
first sighting ever on the lookout). Juncoes and Wrens got very agitated
about 2PM at something very low and down the hill about 15 feet from the
north end of the parking lot. It was warm - maybe a snake? I could never
locate it through binocular - there was no way I was going to climb down
there!
