Va-birders....
The Great White Heron was still at Briery Creek Lake on Sunday, 10/13/02
(9:30am). It was on the small island that can be seen best from the
fishing gazebo / pier.
Directions posted by Mike Stinson:
- the entrance road to the Briery Creek Lake dam area where the bird is
being seen is state route 790 and it is 5.3 miles south of the US 460/ US
15 junction. (take Rt. 15 south from Rt. 460 junction).
Note for anyone traveling along Rt. 360 near Brandermill in Chesterfield
County:
There is a new bird store, owned by Malinda Wetsel, located in the
Commonwealth Centre, across from the entrance to Brandermill. It is two
doors down from the Barnes & Noble book store.
