Lots of activity at GFP this morning, both warblers and flycatchers in good
variety and numbers. Walking from the lower parking lot to the border with
Riverbend Park, the highlights were:
Chestnut-sided Warbler (3imms.)
Black and White " (2 females/imms.)
Magnolia " (4-5 imms.)
Prothonotary " (1)
Canada " (2)
Redstart (2 males and numerous females/imms.)
Ovenbird (1)
Northern Parula (1 imm.)
There seemed to be dozens of Pewees, a fair number of GC Flycatchers as well
as numerous smaller flycatchers (which due to poor light could not be ID'd
with confidence, except for a Least).
The other notable birds were a YB Cuckoo, an imm. B Oriole and a soaring BW
Hawk.
