About 11:30 this morning there was a Great Egret on a farm pond near Milt=
on.
From the US 250/VA 22 intersection in Shadwell, go a short distance east
on US 250 to the first light and turn right on Rt 729. Cross the Rivanna;=
at the T, turn right on Rt 732. About 0.1 miles along, the pond is on the=
left; there is just enough room to pull off on the right near a farm gate=
.
Be careful of traffic (the shoulder is narrow); the pond is very close,
so no need to enter private property.
