This morning I walked the entire length of Grandview Beach. With area
ponds frozen, waterfowl were plentiful just offshore. The Back River to the
west of factory point was almost completely frozen, but those areas of open
water held all the Brant, Canada Geese, American Wigeon, Gadwall, and Hooded
Mergansers. I was surprised to find a Wilson Snipe feeding among the
Dunlin.
