BTW, VAbirders,
Have any of you had an influx of Goldfinches in the last few days? Our
number of Goldfinch has jumped from about 10 birds to 50+. Not as many as
some years when we've had 300 or so, but it's nice to see more of them. I
was beginning to wonder where they were. Need to put out more thistle
feeders today!
Also, just for fun, here's yesterday's final list of migrants and new arrivals:
Black&white Warb
Yellow-rumped Warb
Common Yellowthroat
Yellow-throated Vireo
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
E. Kingbird
E. Wood Pewee
Baltimore Oriole
Scarlet Tanager - male
Wood Thrush
Am working in the garden today, and have had a few good birdees today
too! Am hoping for some Cedar Waxwings.
