VA-Birders,
A visit to Glencarlyn Park in Arlington Co. this AM produced some nice
migrants, and a few new birds for me this season including singing
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLERS, ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, and INDIGO BUNTING. I
found a HAIRY WOODPECKER nest hole high in a tree and I could hear begging
chicks inside with a parent flying in and out repeatedly. 49 spp. List is
below.
