This morning from the east-facing windows of my house I was able to scope
40+ Northern Gannets here on the Nansemond River. The gannets were all the
way up to the Nansemond River Bridge (Rt. 17 or Bridge Road). But the birds
will not go past the bridge even though the baitfish are abundant
throughout. If anyone would like to see Northern Gannets in Suffolk today
would be a good time!
