We spent a few hours early this morning at G. Richard Thompson Wildlife
Management Area until the heat and the black flies became oppressive.
Highlights for us were the Blue Winged Warbler at the pond, Rose Breasted
Gosbeak and Cerulean Warblers at Parking Area 7.  We were quite surprised to
see the road to the top is now paved and a new parking area has been made at
number 7.
Afterwards we went up to the Casselman Bridge (Rt 7) over the Shenadoah to
find about 12 pairs of Cliff Swallows nesting.  Tiger Swallowtail
butterflies were everywhere!
