trip on Oct. 19th to Sky Meadows State Park, led by Bob Klarquist and myself.
The more notable species seen included White Crowned, Vesper, Savannah and
Lincoln's Sparrows, Purple Finches and a Blue-Headed Vireo. Most of the
trips's 10 White-Crowned Sparrows were seen on the hiking trail which begins on
the south side of the horse barns on the eastern portion of the Park. Sky
Meadow's trademark Red-headed Woodpeckers were on prominent display along the
road to the group campground in the western portion of the Park. A complete
listing of the 42 species seen on the trip appears below.
