The male Eurasian Kestrel previously reported by Jackie Sones was
present all afternoon (4/18) on the Morris Island causeway in Chatham.
I was there from about 4:40 until 6:10 and the bird was in view the
entire time, except for brief moments when obscured by the fog which
periodically rolled in and out. It sits around on the bird houses,
osprey poles, stunted trees, and various other perches, mostly on the
east side of the causeway. Bob Clem saw it catch two voles during the
course of the afternoon, and got lots of video of the bird. I also got
some digiscoped images which I will post later this evening.
