Subject: Lapland Longspur's in Augusta County
Hello all
After work today I drove out to Rt. 652 Gunthrie Rd. in the Stuarts Draft area
. Once there I found a small flock of Horned Larks of about 20 birds & about 30
seconds of scanning this flock 2 Lapland Longspurs appeared .
Just past the feeder lots I found a larger flock of about 75+ Horned Lark's but
no Laplands were mixed in . Also missing were Snow Bunting's , which in the
past this area usually has a bird or two . Anyway with the 4.5 to 5 inches of
fresh fallen snow --- they will come . Happy Birding to all.
