[va-bird] Fort Smith Birds Friday & Saturday.

VA Birders,

    Highlights of our Friday, May 7, NVBC bird walk at Fort C.F. Smith Park, 
Arlington Co., were:  Great Crested Flycatcher, Red-eyed Vireo*, No. 
Rough-winged Swallow, Wood Thrush, Brown Thrasher*, Cedar Waxwing, 
Blue-winged*, 
Black-and-White, & Canada Warblers, Scarlet Tanager*, Rose-breasted Grosbeak*, 
Indigo Bunting, and Orchard & Baltimore Orioles.  

    Birds seen by several of us who gathered informally at the park today 
included a Cooper's Hawk and Pileated Woodpecker, both of which flew over the 
Bird Stream (separately),  No. Parula, Black-throated Green* & Bay-breasted 
Warblers, and a pair of Orchard Orioles*.

    Birds with a "*" came to the Bird Stream; the pair of Orchard Orioles 
bathed side by side!
