I wonder if the messages that don't go through ever get logged?

Subject: No. Alexandria Sub-Sector of the DC CBC, 12/17/05
VA BIRDers,
For the DC CBC I lead a team of birders doing the North sub-Sector of the
count: Marc Ribaudo, Larry Meade, Bill Sain and myself. We covered the
territory from the Dyke Marsh picnic area to Dangerfield Island (mainly: the
Alexandria waterfront). Top observations were Wilson's Warbler (first for
the route) and Lincoln's Sparrow, both in the shrubby/vine covered area near
the Hunting Creek mudflats north of Hunting Creek. Other fine observations
were Tundra Swan (first on this route in 7 yrs), two Peregrine Falcons on
the new Wilson Bridge-works, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Gray Catbirds and
American Tree Sparrow. Biggest miss was Fox Sparrow. We tallied 64 species
(ave = 61, N=7). I should note that there were reduced gull numbers this
year on the Hunting Creek mudflats. The preliminary totals are presented
below.
