Subject: [MDBirding] Re: National Airport Snowy Owl, Sunday 1/19
A (the?) Snowy Owl was kinder to birders today, and the weather too. The
Snowy was first noticed from Gravelly Point about 5 pm, perched on a post on
the far side of the airport. Over the next hour it occasionally changed
perch, even briefly landing on GP. At 6 it was atop the platform in the
channel between natl and GP, facing a few birders & photographers still
sitting on the rocks along the water, in the dark and enjoying the sight.
