The CVWO encourages all conservation-minded people to pledge support to one
of the above teams (email the Team Captain), or the event itself. All funds
are used to support the research program of the CVWO (salaries, utilities,
field supplies, data basing, etc) for which there is extremely small
overhead - less than 5%. See the CVWO webpage for more info, cvwo.org
To help persuade those of you who have not yet donated, a few businesses
have set forth the following CHALLENGE to YOU:
A number of Northern Virginia Businesses have pooled their donations and
CHALLENGE conservation-minded people to donate to the CVWO through the
Kiptopeke Challenge. These businesses pledge to match the first $925 that
is raised. At this time, the businesses are: Wetlands Studies and
Solutions, Inc, The Burke Wild Bird Center, One Good Tern, The Lake Ridge
Wild Bird Center, and Extreme Boat Repair.
To help the CVWO collect on this CHALLENGE we ask that when you make a
pledge either you or the team that you pledge to drop me a line at
kurtcapt87 at verizon.net so that we can make a total. Thank you.
