Noel Wamer's website, http://www.badbirdz.com/080404.htm has some great
radar images of migrating birds. In the spring it showed incredible images
of birds migrating at night from Cuba and the Caribbean to Florida. Now the
web site has been expanded to show the eastern half of the U.S. Yesterday's
images detail movement of migrants in the Midwest and southeastern U.S. It
would be interesting to see if this is a useful tool in predicting when and
where good birding may be this fall. Good birding!

While it may take them some time to reach Florida, there was a major
migratory movement last night in the area around and south of Lake
Michigan. Closer to home there appeared to be some movement from locations
in the piedmont of the southeastern states.
