The Eurasian Green-winged Teal was seen at Huntley Meadows Park again this
morning. Other birds there included Hooded Merganser, Pied billed Grebe,
Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, Eastern Phoebe and Killdeer. Snakes were seen
too, a Rough Green Snake and a Northern Watersnake on the Barnyard Run
trail.
A trip out to The Plains yielded 1 and maybe a second Cackling Goose on the
Harrison Rd. pond. Tree Swallow was also seen here along with Eastern
Meadowlark, 1 adult Bald Eagle and 1 Coot.
The pond on Belvoir Rd had 2 female Common Goldeneye, about 120 Ring-necked
Ducks, 8 Mallard, 8 American Black Duck, 7 Canvasbacks.
