Hello all
Just got back from Sangerville where there is a report of E . Collared - Doves
. The report is right there are two of them hanging out on Grindstone Rd.
between the houses that have mail box numbers 57 & 58 . Also up a little way to
a house number 70 . They are calling & you can see them hanging out on the
wires to your left & in the maple trees , roof top of the house number 70 on
your left .It looks like they are making this area home . They also may nest
here so keep an eye out for a nest . Getting there --- Take Rt. 250 W into
Churchville -- Turn right onto Rt. 42 N follow to Natural Chimney Rd. a left .
Stay on Natural Chimney Rd. go past Natural Chimney's . Come to the
intersection of Natural Chimney Rd. & North River Rd. Turn right onto North
River Rd. go about 2 .5 miles & turn left onto Grindstone Rd. Go about one
tenth of a mile & start looking on the wires . If anyone has a camera please
try & get a few photos . I managed to take about 6 today but I will have to
return for more . This is our FIRST record for Augusta County & it has to be
reviewed by VARCOM .
Good luck to all .
