Bev Leeuwenberg, Webb Smith ( visiting from New Orleans ) and I saw a male
Eurasian Wigeon at 1:15 at the Ramp Road pond at ESNWR ( yesterday Bev and I
did
not see the Wigeon at Ridgeway Pk. in Hampton; we were told by other birders
it is still there but flies in and out during the day ). On island #1 at
9:30am we had excellent looks at a male Harlequin Duck. There were several
Purple
Sandpipers on #1, but only 1 Ruddy Turnstone and only 3 Long-tailed ducks -
and nary a Scoter - plus at least 12 Brant.
