VA BIRDers,
I ate lunch at the marina today watching ducks as it rained. There was quite
a nice assembly - the Common Merganser numbers are building as is typical
when we have a thaw after a January or February ice up on rivers/lakes.
Also there was an amazing number of Horned Grebes present. Makes one think
of other grebes moving into the area. The fog limited the distance I could
discern ducks, but here are a few rough numbers.
