Va-Birders,

Dyke Marsh was a most pleasant venue for a late March bird walk this morning. Sharon Lynn and I thought the following highlight birds might be of general interest:

Pied-billed Grebe  6
Horned Grebe  2
Wood Duck  10
American Black Duck  1
Co. Merganser  6
Red-breasted Merganser 30
Osprey  7
Bald Eagle 5
Northern Harrier 1, in flight being mobbed by Fish Crows
American Coot  1
Hairy Woodpecker 1
Tree Swallows 4
GC Kinglet  2
RC Kinglet  2
Gray Catbird 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler 10
White-crowned Sparrow 2, immature

For those of you who missed the world premier of ON THE EDGE, the movie about Dyke Marsh at the Kennedy Center earlier this week, it's not too late to view the Virginia premiere at the Old Town Theater in Alexandria on Tuesday, March 28, at 7:30. More info at http:// fodm.org/news.htm#film
