This morning's influx of House Sparrows (56! a high count for this backyard)
with the cold weather brought a Dickcissel as well, which has fed and
quarreled with the House Sparrows since 7:15. This is only the second one for
the
yard here. All four Baltimore Orioles, including the pale grayish one, are
attending the nectar/fruit stations as well. I heard yesterday that both the
male
Harlequin and the male King Eider remained in place at the CBBT but that the
Harris's Sparrow(s) at the Eastern Shore of Virginia NWR remained elusive.
