Not as much activity around the War Memorial this morning, but still
interesting. An out-of-place swamp sparrow was lurking in the azaleas.
At least 2 Swainson's thrushes and 1 veery were in the paths. Two
rose-breasted grosbeaks passed through, and a warbling vireo was singing
for most of the time I was there. Warblers included black-and-white,
blackpoll, yellow-rumped (quite a few females), magnolia,
chestnut-sided, yellow, common yellowthroat, and ovenbird.
