Visiting Mountain Run Lake Park this morning outside of Culpeper, we
observed the following:
80 Double Crested Cormorants - some with wings spread out while floating on
the lake
1 Female Ruddy duck
1 Belted Kingfisher
2 Bald Eagles (1 x adult, 1 x 3 or 4 yr old)
2 Yellow rumped warblers in their pretty breeding plumage
1 Pine Warbler
3 or 4 Chipping sparrows
Plus Tree swallows, Barn swallows and Rough winged swallows, Red winged
blackbirds.
