The first arrival at filled feeders this morning were a male and two female
brown-headed colong with towhees - both first this year on the ridge above
Snickers Gap. Large flocks of migrating robins are coming through. A male
red-bellied woodpeckers is loudly and ceremoniously displaying (I'd never seen
one
with the entire red crest kind of "at attention") for a mate at the top of a
snag.
Yep - it seems to be spring!
