All,
This morning Chuck Van Scoyoc and I had obstructed, unobstructed, and
very engaging views of a Connecticut Warbler at Long Branch. All observations
were made between the first and second concrete bridge stream crossings,
walking out from the Nature Center's parking lot.
This bird was definitely a Connecticut, not a species that is often
mistaken for one. Besides, looking like a Connecticut, the bird was observed
to
be walking very ovenbird like in the low understory and a small grassy area
immediately adjacent to the near side of the stream, about midway between the
two bridges.
