I stopped by Fairfax Square shopping center tonight, on Rt. 7, across from
the mall, with Tiffany's, Chili's and Best Buy, from 8:50 to 9:05 pm, and
there were approximately 20 Common Nighthawks circling above the well-lit
buildings. I did not see any there last night, but it was raining at the
time I stopped by.
This is a block or two away from the "pyramid" building on Gallows Rd. and
Boone Blvd. that used to be lit at night and had so many CONI in the past.
This building is not currently lit at night. I had noticed construction on
the roof this spring, and now there is a For Lease sign out front. Maybe
once they get a new tenant in the lights will come back on.
