There were two beautiful Common Loons in full breeding plumage on Kingstowne
Pond this afternoon and seen as late as 5pm. I am always amazed at what this
small body of water attracts. The pond/lake is next to South Van Dorn Street
(very busy) in Kingstowne, Fairfax County. A Green Heron was also present.
