Mike Iwanik does not have access to post to Va-bird and has asked that I
post the following correction on Mountain Bluebird.
This past Friday evening I received several emails, including a post that
included update to the Black-chinned Hummingbird in Cape Charles and the
Mountain Bluebird. I'm in process of locating that email which, as it
turns out, was not from Ned Brinkley. This post I received indicated the
Mountain Bluebird had been seen Friday afternoon a little after 3 p.m. in
same area as seen a week ago. This is what caught my attention because
this email post mentioned this sighting had been first since the previous
weekend. I won't know until I do a bit of sleuthing to determine if
message was legit or a hoax.
Mike Iwanik did NOT see the bluebird and did not report seeing it.
According to Ned Brinkley, his record of last sighting of the Mountain
Bluebird was November 27 and 28.
Sorry for any confusion and false hopes!
