Hello all
Today after work I checked out a few of Augusta Counties hot spots for
shorebirds . After leaving work McCunes was the first place to check out . Then
I moved onto Bells Lane & ending up in Swoope . Here is what I found this
chilly windy afternoon .
D C Cormorant -- 1 McCunes
Great Blue Heron -- 1 -- Smith's -- Swoope
Great Egret -- 2 -- Bells Lane
Ruddy Duck -- 1 -- Bells Lane
Greater Yellowlegs -- 1 --- Smith's
Lesser Yellowlegs -- 4 -- Smith's
Spotted Sandpiper -- 6 -- Bells Lane
Semipalmated Sandpiper --- 11 -- Smith's --- 17 -- Bells Lane -- 28 total
Ring -- billed Gull -- 1 -- Bells Lane
Forster's Tern -- 1 -- McCunes
Not a bad turn out of birds forced down because of the rain . Happy Birding to
