Since my last post 11/16 we have only netted two additional saw-whets,
one on the 17th and one last night (11/29), for a current total of 52
birds. Between those nights we had the nets open only four nights,
missing seven nights to a combination of rainy weather and some
equipment problems. The movement of birds for us seems to have slowed a
to a trickle, and we will be trying at least a few more nights when
conditions look favorable, but not until next week.
