Hello birders,
I like to notice all the variations in the Carolina Wren's songs--such
conspicuous singing for such an unconspicuous bird! They're often songs that
sound like human speak--some of the common ones I hear are:
"Chirpily chirpily chirpily chirp"
"Cheeburger cheeburger cheeburger"
"Twee-der-dle twee-der-dle twee-der-dle tweet"
"Research-'em research'-em research-'em"
"Che-bear che-bear che-bear che"
Well, today, our local Carolina Wren was singing at the top of his lungs,
"Virginia Virginia Virginia"!
Do your Carolina Wrens have the same reportoire as ours do here?
