Dorie Stolley, Biologist at Back Bay NWR, will be the speaker for the next
meeting of the Cape Henry Audubon Society in Norfolk at its NEW MEETING
LOCATION. The meeting is next Wednesday, February 15 at 7:30 pm. She will
present "Birds of South Texas." Dorie was on the staff at Santa Ana NWR prior
to coming to Back Bay. See information below on directions to the new location.
We are very pleased to announce that arrangements have been made for a
new meeting site for CHAS's monthly membership meetings. St. Patrick
Catholic School has generously agreed to provide their facilities for
our use. St. Patrick is a brand new school located in the Larchmont
section of Norfolk, near Old Dominion University. The school, which
opened in a temporary location last September, now operates from a
state-of-the art campus which was completed January 2006. The new
school, its administration, faculty, and facilities have all received
rave reviews.
Many thanks to St. Patrick and especially to its Principal, Steve
Hammond, for allowing the use of these fine facilities. We truly
appreciate their hospitality and look forward to opportunity to develop
this relationship. We hope to see members of both the staff and the
student body at future CHAS meetings and field trips.

From downtown Norfolk
Head north on Hampton Boulevard, past the Ted Constant Center and Old
Dominion University. After you pass the WHRO broadcasting studio, turn
right at the stoplight at Bolling Avenue (Larchmont elementary school
will be on your right). Continue on Bolling Avenue approximately
one-quarter mile. St. Patrick will be on your left.
From Terminal Boulevard
Turn left (south) onto Hampton Boulevard from Terminal Boulevard towards
Old Dominion University. Go across the Lafayette River bridge and
continue to Bolling Avenue, just before you get to ODU. Turn left onto
Bolling Avenue. St. Patrick will be about one-quarter mile on your left.
