Hello everyone;
I found the adult California Gull at the Prince
William Landfill on Monday afternoon. (Thank goodness
it was an adult---dark eye, red-and-black spotted bill
were easy field marks). I scoped it at the top of the
hill, standing with the Ring-billeds, a few Greater
Black-backeds, Herring, and 3 or 4 Laughing Gulls. My
mother, who is from Utah, was with me and thought I
was nuts; by the way, the California Gull is the state
bird of Utah.
Good birding-
