Here is the Christmas Bird Count list for December 2002 - January 2003.
At the bottom of the list are some counts that I have not received
confirmation on for this season. However, I listed contact information
from last years count that may be helpful to those of you who have an
interest in those counts this year. If I receive updated information on
any of the counts, I will issue revisions to the list. Please note that
you should contact the compilers and confirm all details before attending
any count. There could be last minute changes.
If you visit the VSO webpage ( www.vabirds.org ), you will find more
details concerning the locations of the counts. And in the next week or
so, we will add a map of the state that shows where each count is
located.
Please send me updated information for any counts that you have details
on. And, be sure to sign up for as many counts as you can fit in your
schedule. The counts are a lot of fun, and they give you an opportunity
to help gather meaningful bird data.
