I went out to Burke Lake today to see if I could find the Long-tailed Ducks
that Dan saw on Sunday, but no luck. I did see:
Double-crested Cormorant (lots)
Lesser Scaup
Red-breasted Merganser
Common Loon
Horned Grebe
Bufflehead
Bald Eagle
Great Blue Heron
Mallard
Canada Goose (lots, of course)
American Crow
Herring & Ring-billed Gulls
Carmen Bishop
Fairfax
