We also had our first Brown Thrasher yesterday. The previous recorded early
observation date for Highland and Bath Counties was April 4th.We've had Fox
Sparrows since March 9th. Our previous recorded early observation date for
those was April 20th.

VA Birders,
One of our Brown Thrashers returned yesterday, after having left last
fall.
They sometimes stay the winter in some of the lower valleys here, but not
on
our mountain at 2400 ft.
The last couple of days my wife and I have also seen a Fox Sparrow under
the
seed feeders.
