Around 20 birders in two groups spent 3 hours searching for late migrants
and summer residents at the Blue Ridge Center yesterday morning, led by Andy
Rabin, John Drummond, and Mary Ann Good. We found few migrants, surprising
considering the activity still seen farther south in Fairfax County.
Highlights were 6 Yellow-Throated Vireos, 4-5 Blue-Winged Warblers, 7
Cerulean Warblers, a Worm-Eating Warbler, 6 Hooded Warblers, and a Savannah
Sparrow (all of these species breed on the property). A complete list
