All,
The Black-throated Gray Warbler at Blandy was seen from about 9:15 until
11:00 this morning. It was first located in the usual spot but then
flew off and was located in some cedars and pines west of the main
building, near three small ponds. It foraged there for 10 minutes or so
and then flew off again only to be relocated in the original spot about
15 minutes later. We watched it foraging in the pines for 30 minutes
and many pictures and video were taken. What a great little bird!
I should have mentioned this before, but I didn't think about it. There
are Red-breasted Nuthatches in the pines behind the main building for
those who are interested. They are very pishable!
Happy New Year everyone!
