Greetings to all:
I made a late trip to Staunton River State Park this afternoon to look for
shorebirds and herons and egrets.
I found the following:
Semipalmated Plover - 2
Killdeer - 4
small Sandpiper species unID - 4
Great Egret - 10
Great Blue Heron - 5
and the best find of the day was Little Blue Heron - 2 immature with good
views.
Looks like fall migration has started.
