After seeing what was at my feeders this morning I decided to bird the South
River Perserve after work today. Below is a list of '' spring '' bird high

Wood Duck -- 1 at SRP & 7 at Smith's
Osprey -- 1 Boy Scout Camp
Solitary Sandpiper -- 1 SRP
Lesser Yellowlegs -- 7 flooded field near Smith's
Eastern Kingbird --- 8 S
Warbling Vireo --- 2 at SRP
Blue -- gray Gnatcatcher -- 5 one on nest at SRP
Gray Catbird -- 4 at SRP
Yellow Warbler -- 3 at SRP
Common Yellowthroat -- pair at SRP
Yellow-- breasted Chat -- 1 at SRP
Song Sparrow -- carrying food to nest site S intersection of Rts. 705 & 707
Swamp Sparrow -- 3 at SRP
Rose -- breasted Grosbeak -- 1 YB
Orchard Oriole -- 1 YB 2 in S
Baltimore Oriole -- 2 at SRP
Purple Finch -- 3 YB
Pine Siskin -- 2 YB
Yesterday while at my mother's house I noticed a Mockingbird carrying nesting
material . I found the nest complete . Note the ticks are out so be careful
when walking thru tall grass & bushes . Good Birding to all Allen Larner
