Hello all
This morning Pat & I did a little birding in Augusta County . First stop was
Smith's pond where we only found 2 Great Blue Heron's , 3 Green Heron's & 6
Wood Duck plus the Boy Scout Camp had 1 Great Blue & 1 Green Heron . We moved
on & went to the Stuarts Draft & Lyndhurst areas . Below is what we found .

Spotted Sandpiper -- 1
Quillin's
Great Blue -- 1
Great Egret -- 1
Green Heron -- 8
Wood Duck -- 10
Mallard -- 75+
Hooded Merganser -- 1 Juv.
Killdeer -- 25+
Greater Yellowlegs -- 1
Solitary -- 2
Spotted -- 1
Least -- 2
Pectoral -- 2
Bobolink -- 10+
McCune's
Great Blue -- 2
Great Egret -- 1
Wood Duck -- 45 + -- Most were juv .
Bells Lane
Great Blue -- 1
Green Heron -- 3
Wood Duck -- 1
We ended up with 2 peak counts & 1 early fall date for our County .
Green Heron -- 15 total , Wood Duck -- 62 total & Hooded Merganser as an early
fall date . Not bad for 3 hours of bird watching .Happy birding to all.
