As the Christmas Bird Counts begin tomorrow, I ask that you please add me to
your gift list (I'm asking Santa for a few good birds to close out my Big
Year). Birds I'm still missing include: Ross's Goose, Cackling Goose, King
Eider, Western and Clark's Grebe,Little Gull, Black-headed Gull, Glaucous Gull,
Snowy Owl, Saw-whet Owl, N. Shrike, Western Tanager, Lark Sparrow, LeConte's
Sparrow, Painted Bunting,Black-headed Grosbeak, White-winged Crossbill, Evening
Grosbeak, and of course any other western strays or boreal visitors.
If any of these birds are found on the CBCs, I would appreciate a call :
