Relatively few waterfowl were on the river at about 11:30 a.m. It wasn't
too terribly birdy, but I did manage to find a Great Egret and a
first-winter White-crowned Sparrow, both of which were on the west side of
the GW Pkwy., just south of the Hunting Creek bridge near the gravel
pullout.
