Spent some time in the Beaverdam area today. Stopped at Bambleton Golf
Course looking for the Merlin to no avail, but turned up a nice adult male
Cooper's Hawk that came in and chased off the huge Dark eyed Junco flock
feeding along the parking lot.
Along Resevoir Rd leading to Beaverdam we were able to find 2 American Tree
Sparrows and 1 Fox Sparrow again in a huge Dark eyed Junco flock. Many
White throated Sparrows, Northern Cardinals and a Song Sparrow were here
also. At the resevoir, we had good numbers of Common Mergansers, 3 Pied
billed Grebes, Herring and Ring billed Gulls, and 1 adult Bald Eagle.
