To all Virginia birders planning field trips to Bath and Highland Counties:
On May 20, 25 residents of Bath and Highland Counties met to organize a new VSO
Chapter, the Bath-Highland Bird Club. The group elected officers and committee
chairs and are anxious to make contact with Virginia birders who are visiting
their area.
If you are planning a field trip this spring and summer, they would
appreciate hearing from you.

Leonard Teuber and I are working on a field checklist for Bath-Highland
Counties, and are beginning to work on an annotated list, using Leonard's
records from the years he lived in Monterey as well as VSO and AB published
records. I would appreciate it if you would send your field trip lists to me as
well as your lists from previous trips to this area, We are trying to establish
extreme dates, breeding records, and peak counts.
