[va-bird] Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve (Loudoun County) July 10

This morning 12 people showed up for the regular monthly (2nd Sat. of every 
month) Banshee Reeks Bird Walk.    We saw 54 species at Banshee and a few more 
when we visited the Dulles Wetlands later in the morning.  We also saw 14 
species of butterflies.  Our highlights included several fledglings (i.e., 
Orchard Oriole, Song Sparrow, Cardinal, Peewee, etc.), Red-headed Woodpeckers, 
at least 5 Chats, and Blue Grosbeak, all at Banshee; and 4 Willow Flycatchers 
at the Dulles Wetlands.
Also, don't forget Banshee Reeks is now open to the general public from 8 am to 
4 pm on the 3rd weekend of every month (the 17th & 18th this month) - see 
www.bansheereeks.org for directions.
