Some interesting resightings this morning at Banshee Reeks of migrant birds
first recorded last Friday/Saturday demonstrates the importance of the upland
oak/hickory forest as a refuelling spot for birds going further North.
Highlights were Tennessee Warbler , 4 Bay-breasted ,2 American Redstart ,
Blue-throated Green , 15 Blackpoll, 3 Swainson's Thrush ,2 Grey-cheeked (
from song !! ) and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.All the Black-throated Blue
warblers appear to have moved on.
Also 2 Willow Flycatchers have returned to their traditional spot along Woods
Road.
