Bald Eagle Viewing at Burke Lake Park =

Fairfax Station, Virginia=20
Join the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust and Bob Tope for a Bald =
Eagle viewing at Burke Lake Park! We will focus on observing Bald Eagles =
in addition to viewing some of the park's other winter birds and =
mammals. Participants should dress warmly and comfortably, with sturdy =
walking shoes, warm socks, a hat, gloves and a scarf. Participants =
should bring a pair of binoculars, and may wish to bring spotting =
scopes, cameras (video and still), bird books and field guides. We will =
meet at the parking lot next to the PUBLIC BOAT LANDING at 9am, in ANY =
weather. Refreshments will be provided, complements of Starbucks! The =
event is free, although $10 donation is appreciated. For more =

Directions: From the intersection of the Fairfax County Parkway and =
Route 123 head south on Route 123 and continue STRAIGHT THROUGH the =
intersection at Burke Lake Road and Clifton Road, CONTINUING STRAIGHT =
through 2 traffic lights (the first leads to the Golf Crouse, the second =
leads to the park's main entrance. IGNORE both). Shortly BEFORE the next =
traffic light there will be a small brown sign with white letters in the =
median strip that reads, "PUBLIC BOAT LANDING". Turn LEFT. We will meet =
in the gravel parking area. *Attached is a map to Burke Lake Park.
